Getting Organized...The New "WALL OF FAME"

We are trying to get organized and simplify things a little. We took down our HUGE bulletin board that WAS our "Wall of Fame", and now have a much neater one. We added a circle bulletin board, dry erase board, and some wall magazine holders for school papers. So much better! Of course we decorated them up. Still haven't added the vinyl, but something is better than nothing, right? Will get that on in the next day or so, I hope. The girls LOVE it! That's all that matters...

Oh, how they grow...

Here are my babies from the first day of school to the last. I can't even believe how much they have grown. You don't realize it until you get out old pics. Guess Mom's corny 1st day pics are good for something...at least for ME! We are officially on to the 4th and 5th grades!

L.V.E.S. Awards Day 2009

OK, so Lake View Elementary did awards a little different. Brookwood had an award for everything, and it took forever to get them all handed out... BUT... this year they just gave out A Honor Roll, A/B Honor Roll, and Citizenship Awards. It was nice, and all the kids were so cute dressed up. It only last a little over an hour....

Meagan got A Honor Roll Award for the 2nd, 3rd, & 4th 9 weeks. A/B Honor Roll Award for the 1st 9 weeks.

Madelyn got A/B Honor Roll Award for the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, & 4th 9 weeks, and a Citizenship Award.

We are so proud of you girls!!! Tomorrow is our last day!!! The countdown is on..... We made it through another one...whew!

She did it!!! Congratulations Meagan!!!

Running for Student Council... AND WON!

Last Wednesday night, Meagan came home and said she thought she would like to run for Student Council- Vice President. At least she picked something at the top, right? She had to campaign on Thursday (which-she is at T.A.R.G.E.T. & not there, so we had a campaign manager to help with votes: I cannot make this up!). Friday she dressed up, and had her speech she wrote all ready. She was nervous and excited. There were 3 other kids other than her running for Vice President. When she came home, we had the parent speech ready for her...it's OK sweets, get 'em next year......but OH, WAIT...SHE WON!!!! Wow Meagan! So proud of you!!! You will be an awesome VP. As Grandma & Grandpa say, "It runs in the family". So, that earned her a movie and ice cream on her Atlanta visit. Meagan we could not be more proud of you! Love you more than you know!!!

Teacher Gifts

These little buckets with initials were our end of the year teacher gifts. Turned out very cute, but very INEXPENSIVE! Of course the teachers loved them! Yea!

13 Years ago.... May 16, 1996

"You are My Sunshine", 13 years ago, an amazing guy walked into my life, and never walked out! How great it is to be married to your best friend. We have had our ups and downs, trials and tribulations, and babies a year apart in a strange state...with NO SLEEP...=). Somehow, we made it through it all stronger and closer than ever. I love him more than ever. Yeah, back then waist lines were less, hair lines were more, and there were a few less chins (...=)...), but I couldn't adore him more than I do today. I have such an amazing family. A loving husband, and the most beautiful blessings that are our children.

Buddy, I love you so much. You have brought so much joy to my life. I truly enjoy every moment I get to spend with you, and every memory that I get to make with you. You still take my breath away! I look forward to many more years and memories with you. Wow, I can't imagine loving you any more than I do....... How true it is, "I thought I loved you then".

Mom is my inspiration. If I only become half the woman she is, I will have accomplished a lot. She is such a great Mom, Grandma, Wife, and "Domestic Engineer". She is the glue that holds us all together. She is always there when we need her, no matter what we do. She listens to our problems, and encourages all of us to be better. My Mom has the most caring and gentle soul. I am so lucky to have her!!! Thank you Mom for all you do! I love you!
