Visit with Bekah and Noah!!!
So, we got a wonderful TREAT Friday afternoon! Bekah and Noah made their B'ham rounds for Halloween, and we made the "rounds list". So excited!!! I always love visiting with them. We all had such a blast, even if it was a short time. They had a long drive home to Montgomery in the yucky weather. Thank you Bekah and Noah for the visit!!!! Love you guys! (We missed you Todd!)

Trick-or-Treat Bags...
M & M picked out these trick-or-treat bags. They were plain, so we added some monogramming, patches, and ribbon. They turned out so cute! A Go Go Girl's must have bag!

Pumpkin Carving 2009
The Solar System
OK, so I'm behind... Last week, Maddie had to make the Solar system for science. We made the planets out of styrefom balls, used some wire, and glued it to a black foam board. We mixed all the paint to try and make all the correct planet colors. She had fun, and was SO PROUD OF IT! I thought it turned out really cute! Yea Maddie!!!!
New Toy...
I have a new toy. I got a new sewing/embroidery machine. I have had it for over a month, but with swine flu, I haven't gotten to play much with it. I monogrammed the girls bathroom towels as one of my first projects. Can't wait to see what else I can get into. The girls are as excited about it as I am. My list of things to embroider is already a mile long...lol. Hopefully, there will lots more to come! Not too bad for a rookie!

Fun Friday!!!
Maddie, Steph, and Meagan
Who is more excited?!?
Maddie, Meagan, and Allison
(Steph sent this Friday night from her cell. Looks like they are having so much fun already.)
Steph invited the girls to spend the weekend with her and Mike. There is a fall festival in Booneville this weekend. We met her yesterday half way, and made the "drop off". They were so excited to go visit. They had their bags packed Thursday afternoon after they got home from school. We checked them out a little early yesterday so we could head west to meet. They slept all the way to Wynfield, but jumped up when they realized Steph was there. I think Steph was as excited as they were. They haven't been to Steph's since she's been in MS, and they get to meet Mike's daughter, Allison. Of course they were completely beside theirself to have a fun weekend! They had a SUPER day at school. They had their Fun Run, and even though it was chilly, they had a blast. Meagan ran 40 laps and Maddie ran 30 laps. M & M also brought home their report cards. Meagan had all A's and Maddie had all A's and B's. We are so proud of them!!! AND, Meagan tried out for the knowledge bowl team at school. There were only 6 spots, and 15 took the tests. Meagan said the test was really hard, so we were preparing for an upset. Well, guess what?!?!?!? SHE MADE IT! Madelyn called her a nerd, but finished it up with, "you're a cool nerd". Oh, sisterly love! We hope they have a super great time visiting with Aunt Steph.
M.A.D. Car Decals
I have been working on car decals for M.A.D. We want to show our support for McCalla Academy of Dance, and the joy it brings our children. Well, when the girls got sick, and then Buddy, well, things got postponed a little. Now I have the decals done, the letter to send home to the parents done, and the display board for the studio done. We took them to Mrs. Laurel this week. She loved them. I was proud of this accomplishment. I had a picture in my head, and couldn't get things to work out like I wanted at first. But finally, I manipulated the program enough to get it to work. Yay!!!

Flu is gone...HOPEFULLY!
The girls are doing so much better. They have now done all of their make-up work/test from school. Buddy started feeling bad a couple of weeks ago. He was in denial and said he had a sinus infection (FLU). When it was time to head to OK Monday, it hit him that there was no way he could do conveyor surveys feeling like that. We have only slept 1 night in the last several weeks. So exhausted!!! Yesterday, he finally admitted that he had the flu....and rested more. He has started feeling a little better, and hopefully we are on the road to recovery. We actually rested last night!!!
Meagan and Maddie are doing a FunRun at school on Friday. They are taking donations. You can either pledge a flat amount, or so much per lap. They are so excited about it. Let me know if anyone wants to sponser them...
Meagan also took the test last week to be on the knowledge bowl at school. They will announce Wednesday, so say a little prayer either way for her. There are only 6 spots!
M&M also started student teaching at dance last week. They are helping with the little girls ages 4-6 with a combo class (tap, ballet, and jazz). They LOVE it! Mrs. Laurel says they are such a big help. It makes me so happy to see them enjoy themselves so much. We also got our Jazz Competition Team schedule. We are doing a competition in March and 2 in April (Chattanooga, Birmingham, and Atlanta). We are in for a busy spring.... They are so excited about it!!!

Back to School!
M & M have beat the flu! Yea! They had a great weekend. They both felt so much better. Today is back to school. They were actually looking forward to it. They won't love it so much when they see their make-up work....=(. Hope they do well, and enjoy being back with their friends. WooHoo!!!

Feeling Better!
Ahhh, it's so good to see my babies feelin better. Madelyn has done a complete 180 since yesterday. It's so good to see them getting back to normal. Steph text me this mornning. She is doing research for a speech on Tamiflu. Tamiflu is contradicted in children because it cause dehydration, vomiting, and diarrhea. I stopped Maddie's yesterday am after she wasn't getting any better. 24 hrs later, she is so much better. I am beginning to think it had the opposite reaction on her. Thank goodness she is feeling better. Just took her temp, and it's 98.5-YEA MADDIE! Meagan is still fever free. She has been doing Math, yes, I said Math! Maddie is getting bored already. She has been folding her laundry, yeah, I know. They decided to play a game of UNO Attacks, and I couldn't resist the pic. It was almost tearful to see them playing a game. Thank you God!
Praise God!
Maddie had a rough day and night yesterday. Nothing we did seemed to help. We were really afraid that an ER trip to give fluids were in her future. This morning she woke up feeling better, color in her face, temp 99.6, and she is on the computer surfing. PRAISE GOD! Maybe she is on the road to recovery. Meagan is still fever free and getting a little more energy everyday. I'm hoping we will continue with progress today. Prayers for continued progress. This flu is awful. It has hit Maddie 10 times worse. I haven't seen her this sick since meningitis when she was 4. It was so wonderful to see her sitting up in bed, with color and smiles, this morning. Will keep you posted... Thank you God for giving her some relief! Today is going to be a GREAT day!!!

Wow..it's October!
Well, I wish I had better news today. Meagan is continually getting better, no fever for almost 3 days. Madelyn has had a relapse. She has started throwing up again, and her fever is back. She is so pitiful. She always gets everything 10 times worse. Please pray she can shake this, and start getting better. I know she's tired of being sick.
