CHAMPIONS!
M.A.D. won a gold ribbon for their performance, they won their jazz division, and they place 2nd OVERALL!!! Congrats girls! We are so proud of them! We can't believe how well they did. They were so excited! We so missed Mrs. Laurel, who had to stay in B'ham to take care of her husband. But we are proud of the job that Ms. Alyce did with our team. Maddie accepted the award for M.A.D. CAN WE SAY PROUD PARENTS! Buddy was amazed at all the dances. He had never been to one of these, and lets just say that this isn't how Mama used to dance...lol. This is dance on steroids! LOL
Awards!
All of the dancers gathered on stage for awards. Everybody had so much fun, and did such a GREAT job! So....how did they do?????
On Stage...
OK, so this is the only pic that I got on stage....boo MOM! They came on a little early, and frankly, I just got so excited watching that I didn't try to take more pics. They did GREAT!!! You would have never known that this was their first competition.
Dance Competition. Chattanooga, TN
This weekend we went to Chattanooga, TN for M.A.D.'s very first jazz competition. The girls were so excited. I think the girls were as excited about the hotel as they were the competition... Buddy was in Denver last week, and didn't land til 10:00 Friday night. So, Saturday morning we headed out around lunch for CHATTANOOGA. We checked in, and went out for dinner. We ate at the Mellow Mushroom, and then followed it up by Ben and Jerry's for dessert. It was a lot of fun, and some nice family time since Buddy has been gone so much lately. Next...in bed early for an early performance time....8:15 a.m. bright and early Sunday morning (eastern time, might I add), and to be at the convention center by 7!

M.A.D. Dress Rehearsal!
Last night was dress rehearsal for the girls competition this weekend in Chattanooga. They did so good in practice. Maddie is the "STAR", and she really does a good job. She is the nerd that gets a make-over at the end of the dance. I didn't get a pic of her "uncovered", but her costume is just like the other girls except her is pink. So cute! We perform Sunday. Good Luck M.A.D.!!!

Update from Laurel:
Billy made it out of surgery last night. The prayer was for him to wake up today, and be able to take the breathing tube out. Here is the latest update from Laurel:
Update from Laurel: "Billy is awake and the breathing tube has been removed! He is pretty heavily medicated, but has been talking and joking with me as much as possible. Right now it's unclear what the next step is, but it looks like he will remain in ICU a few more days. Things are looking up, but don't forget to keep praying!"
So many prayers have been answered for this family. Please continue to pray for them. Pray for continued progress, and no more complications!

PRAY!
Everyone, we need prayers! Laurel's husband Billy has been rushed to emergency surgery for a femoral artery bleed. Please pray for this family, and the surgeons that will take care of him!!!
Our first Dance Comp is this weekend!
Our first Dance Competition is this weekend in Chattanooga, TN. We have a dress/hair rehearsal tomorrow night. We should find out what day they perform and what time then. We are so excited! The girls are looking forward to just staying in a hotel....LOL. I decided to "volunteer' to monogram the dance bags for the girls. Although I was ready to throw the machine out the window on more than one occasion, I finally got them finished. The girls love them, so that what matters.
We need prayers.... Laurel, the girls dance teacher/owner, needs our prayers. Her husband Billy had a stroke two weeks ago this Thursday. He has had several procedures, and few complications, but is doing well. The stroke was considered small, and a full recovery is expected. Hopefully if all goes well, he will get to move to Spain Rehab Center to begin his rehab. Right now he has a hematoma in his abdomen, which has delayed this move from this week to next week. Today has been a difficult day, and he is not feeling well at all. We need everybody to pray for these two. Laurel is so sweet, and brought so much joy to my girls. She is only 23, and Billy is 27. I can't imagine going through this at my age, especially at theirs. She will not be able to be with us at competition this weekend, but her wonderful sister, Alyce, will be stepping in to save us! WE LOVE YOU LAUREL!!! PRAYERS GOING UP FOR YOUR FAMILY!
So Pretty...
Meagan and Maddie did so good in the pageant, and had so much fun! We are honored to be their parents, and so proud of our girls. "Our Beauty Queens".
