PRAY!

Everyone, we need prayers!  Laurel's husband Billy  has been rushed to emergency surgery for a femoral artery bleed.  Please pray for this family, and the surgeons that will take care of him!!!

Our first Dance Comp is this weekend!

Our first Dance Competition is this weekend in Chattanooga, TN. We have a dress/hair rehearsal tomorrow night. We should find out what day they perform and what time then. We are so excited! The girls are looking forward to just staying in a hotel....LOL. I decided to "volunteer' to monogram the dance bags for the girls. Although I was ready to throw the machine out the window on more than one occasion, I finally got them finished. The girls love them, so that what matters.

We need prayers.... Laurel, the girls dance teacher/owner, needs our prayers. Her husband Billy had a stroke two weeks ago this Thursday. He has had several procedures, and few complications, but is doing well. The stroke was considered small, and a full recovery is expected. Hopefully if all goes well, he will get to move to Spain Rehab Center to begin his rehab. Right now he has a hematoma in his abdomen, which has delayed this move from this week to next week. Today has been a difficult day, and he is not feeling well at all. We need everybody to pray for these two. Laurel is so sweet, and brought so much joy to my girls. She is only 23, and Billy is 27. I can't imagine going through this at my age, especially at theirs. She will not be able to be with us at competition this weekend, but her wonderful sister, Alyce, will be stepping in to save us! WE LOVE YOU LAUREL!!! PRAYERS GOING UP FOR YOUR FAMILY!

Better late than never....

Ok, so I am so far behind in blogging! Buddy has traveled so much in the last month and a half, that I felt like I was losing it!!! But thankfully things may slow down just a little. So, here are the pageant pics from the first of the month. Mom and Dad came down, and we all had a great time. Of course the girls looked beautiful. They had so much fun getting dressed up. The pageant was Friday night, and Saturday morning (6:30 am to be exact) was the knowledge bowl competition. Only 6 kids in the 5th grade made the team, and Meagan was one of them. They competed against all the schools in Tuscaloosa County. The did great. They finished 8th overall. A job well done! Sunday I got really sick. The worst sinus infection I think I have ever had....not fun! So "Mom" was in bed for 2 days. I think we are all ready for some warm weather, and some SUN!!! Enjoy the rest of the pageant pics!

It's a girl's right...to change her mind! New Pageant Dresses!

We loved our pageant dresses we picked the other day, but they girls face just didn't light up like I had hoped.  So, we went back when things were less hectic, less crowded, and took another look.  We were the only ones in yesterday afternoon, and it was so nice.  The girls fell in LOVE with these dresses!!!  Maddie put hers on, and stayed in it until we left.  She knew that was it.  Meagan put hers on, and she was beyond excited.  She wanted something different, and I think this one is the perfect amount of different.  Even Buddy was thrilled with their choices.  They looked so beautiful!!!  Even Mrs. Thrasher and I did a little dance.  These dresses look like they were made for these two.  That's all they have been able to talk about.  And, well, as a mom, you can't ask for more pleased girls!  So, these are it!!!  No more changes!  Everyone is so excited and happy with their choices.  Yay!  They can't wait til March 5th now for sure!

We found our pageant dresses!

We took the journey to Mrs. Thrasher's for our annual pageant dress hunt.  We got the note from school that gave us the actual date of the pageant, so we decided to go early.  I am always nervous that they wont find something they love, but every year they do..and might I add, they surprise me every time.  I thought Meagan would of course pick pink....but NO.  She shocked me when she went for the royal blue.  She wanted to be different this year.  She said since this is the last year in an elementary school pageant, she was gonna be different.  I can't believe that she will be in middle school next year.  Maddie, of course, kinda liked every dress she tried on, but went for the one that felt the best.  When that moment came, that was it, she was done!  They are so beautiful, and growing so fast.  I am so honored to be their Mom.  They are good girls, and they had such a blast trying on all the pretty dresses.  The pageant is March 5th at the school if anyone wants to come.  We all can't wait!!!  So, thank goodness, we had another successfull dress search.

My Sweet Mom....

Ok, so this week has been really, really, really rough.  My birthday is the 23rd, Satruday.  Usually my birthday lasts all week, and is very up beat (usually very humorous).  Not this week!  Just when I am at the point of breaking, my Mom sends me a care package from GA.  She sent me the sweetest card (with a little surprise stash just for me), and gift cards for my favorite cake and my favorite place to eat...Dairy Queen and Outback!  OMG!  I was so excited!  I also got a beautiful card from my Paw Paw, all in the same day.  Today, my Mom posted these pics on Facebook, and wrote the sweetest thing that just made me cry....a good cry.  She always knows when and what to do to cheer me up.  I put her sweet words on one the baby pics of Mom and me.  I just can't say thank you enough to her.  If I become half of the woman she has become, I have conquered it all.  I am so thankful for my parents, beautiful girls, and my wonderful husband.  I have been blessed with such a special family and so many wonderful friends.  Tomorrow will be the best birthday ever!  Thank you, Mom.

2009 National Champions!!!

Wow, what a game!  We had a blast!  The McCalebs and The Simmons came and watched the game with us.  It was so much fun having them here.  They are like family.  Of course we were all on pins and needles (while Maddie, as usual, played dolls, and returned in the 4th quarter).  It was so much fun!!!!!!!  ROLL TIDE ROLL!!!!!!!!!!!!

Whew....busy holiday season!

Whew, we had a busy holiday season.  The girls were at Mom and Dad's for 2 weeks.  We went over for Christmas for several days.  Now things are winding down, and getting back to normal.  We got the Christmas stuff taken down yesterday, and the outside stuff put up today.  My babies are home!  I have loved having them home with me today.  The only thing that could have made it better is if Buddy could have been here.  He has started his travel schedule back for the new year.  He in SC this week, but making it home for the Championship game Thursday night.  Madelyn gets her braces off in the morning...woohoo!  She is so excited!!!  They don't have to go back to school til Thursday.  I am loving that!!!!  Will post pics of the teeth tomorrow after the ortho appt.  I hope everyone had a great and blessed holiday season!!!  Roll Tide Roll!!!
