Dance Pics

Meagan and Madelyn had dance pics made today at their studio. They are doing a jazz (blue dress) and a tap (toy soldier) routine in the recital in June. They are so excited and looked so cute. They look so grown up!

PTO Lake View Elementary

Tonight the 4th graders did the entertaining for the PTO meeting at school. The theme was Famous Alabamians. Meagan was Louise Fletcher. Of course she was awesome. You know you're in Tuscaloosa county when Nick Saban gets more attention and talk time than Gov. Bob Riley! So hilarious! They did such a great job, and we are so proud!

Pageant Dresses!

Well, we went this afternoon and picked out our pageant dresses. We were a little behind since we didn't know if the new school would have a pageant or not. Anyway, we have winners!!! I can't believe they both picked pink, but they did. They look so beautiful and can't wait to see them the night of the pageant. Yea! One thing down! My princesses..... They were so good and didn't tear down the place like several other families that seemed to show up at the same time we did. Ahh, I love my girls and they are so beautiful!!! The pageant is April 3rd, on Friday night for both girls. Everyone is welcome! They can't wait!

Saturday Family Fun!!!

We really enjoyed the sunshine this weekend! Buddy and the girls has such a great time on the trampoline, and finished up the day grilling steak!!! YUM! It was a really great family day. The sunshine was so needed. Hard to believe that last Sunday we had 5.5 inches of snow, and today it's in the 70's. That's Alabama weather for ya. Tomorrow we go on our adventure to pick out pageant dresses. I will post pics when we get back. Maddie is especially excited, and can't wait. I think it will be so much fun! Wish us luck.

Cottontails 2009

Friday night we went to Cottontails at the BJCC. Believe it or not, it was a fun family outing. We mainly went to show our support for 2 Cute (Cassie & Paige). This was there first year there, and OMG! They did great. Everything looked absolutely beautiful. Of course, they had the best stuff in the entire place. If you need any unique gifts or something personalized, give them a call. They do such great work!!! I have a link on our page to their website, and they are also going live with a new website soon. We are so blessed to have these great girls in our lives (and you too Braxton), and are really happy that everything is working out so well for them! Love you guys!!!

Cat-a-Van Parade!

Dr. Seuss' birthday was this week. Lake View Elementary is celebrating Read Across American and the work of Dr. Seuss by having a Cat-a-Van Parade. All the students get to dress up as their favorite story character, and have a parade around the school with their books one class at a time. M & M were so excited about this! They had their costumes all laid out days ago, and couldn't wait for today. Meagan is Nancy Drew and Maddie is Fern (Charlotte's Web). Can't wait to hear all the stories and costumes that were at school today!

My Sister...

My sister.... Oh, where do I start. Stephanie has been through a lot in the past year. She has had so many trials and tribulations. Any one of them would tear the strongest person down. Not only has she pushed through all these hard times, she has beat every odd, and made it stronger than ever. I am so proud of her. She is my rock, my strength, and my best friend. I can only hope that I can be half the woman she has become, and hope that Meagan and Madelyn know what a strong aunt they have. I am so happy for her in her journey. She has found peace, she has found love, and she has found her home. Thank you Mike for doing all you do for her, thank you for loving her, and thank you for becoming part of our family. Steph, I love you, and am truly honored to be your "Sissy".
