A Day @ The Pool...

We spent Monday @ the pool. Swam for a few hours, to the room for PB&J's, then back out for some more swimming. It was a fun day, and there was just enough breeze. Monday night was bad storms here. Flooded a lot of the streets. Buddy went and got Burger King (woohoo) and we ate in the room. It stopped later, and Buddy & the girls headed out to the Savannah Candy Kitchen (that is right @ the back of the hotel...not good..lol). Their pralines are to die for!!! A good day and night... So much fun!

We're Here!..Pillow Fight

Yea!!! We made it to Savannah. Love it here. I forgot how beautiful this place was. We made it in on Sunday afternoon. We got settled in, and road onto Tybee to see the ocean. It's not the gulf, but it's the ocean. We came back to Savannah and ate at Vinnie Van GoGo's pizza place...OMG, so good! The night would not have been complete without a daddy-daughter pillow fight! We are looking forward to a great week!!!!

An Angel Left Her Wings

I have this little angel. For me she left her wings.
She has no idea how much happiness she truly brings.
She brightens up my days with her smiles and her laughs.
She helps me to remember all the blessings that I have.

Her face, it is so perfect, she's sweet and soft and pure.
Sometimes she can be willful and sometimes she is demure.
She tries her very hardest to please and do what's right.
She gives the greatest hugs from morning until night.

Every person that has known her sees this light within her soul
I know that in this whole great world, she has a special role.
She's helpful and considerate to everyone she knows
This light in her shines brighter as my angel grows.

When she sees someone is sad, it opens up her heart.
She wants to do all that she can; she wants to do her part.
She'll squeeze away the sorrow and make me forget about my pain.
She shows me where the sun is when we're hiding from the rain.

I know that God must love me, He showed me with His Grace
I knew just how completely when I saw my angel's face.
And in that very moment when she came into my world
I knew that she was so much more than just my baby girl.

She would be my sunshine, with a sweetness that won't end.
And when she grows up one day she would be my closest friend.
She would be the reason I would always try my best.
For my little angel baby girl would be my greatest test.

When God entrusts to you an angel, who has left her wings for you.
Encircle her with love with everything you do.
Let her know God made her, and that He trusts you with her care.
Be sure to make time for special moments with her to share.

And when at night she finally says her prayers and goes to sleep
I thank Him for my angel, and ask for Him to always keep
A watchful eye and hand to protect her from this world.
Protect my little angel; protect my baby girl.

Happy Birthday Meagan!!! 10 Years...

Meagan Cynthia Wilson entered our world July 21, 1999 9lbs. 13ozs. & 20in long @ 7:18 am at DCH Northport Hospital. She was a week early. Meagan was a scheduled C-Section because of her size. I should have know something was up when I asked about her size the week before, and Dr. Reed says, "you know, diabetics have big babies". She has been such a blessing. We can not believe that she is 10 years old. Wow, how time flies... Meagan and Madelyn are our world. They brighten our lives, and all who are around them. We are so blessed and thankful for these beautiful girls. Happy Birthday Meagan! We could not be more proud or love you more!!!

My Angel...

I really have no words. This week is really rough for me, my family, and some very special dear friends. Yesterday was really hard, and then some sad news on top of a rough day brought me to my knees. All I ask is that everyone pray for our family and friends this week. We will all get through this stronger than ever. We just have to get to the other side of the mountain... We have to remember He is in control.

More Dance Classes...

McCalla Academy of Dance
Well, looks like we will be taking on summer dance classes! M & M got a letter from Mrs. Laurel yesterday encouraging them to try out and be a part of the competition dance team this year. Which means, preparatory classes this summer and an an extra ballet class this fall. They will attend 3 competitions after the first of the year. Mrs. Laurel feels that they have the talent and potential to do very well. They are extremely excited to get to do this. So, tomorrow it's back to dance we go. They really love M.A.D. and Mrs. Laurel. I'm so happy that she has made this so enjoyable for them. Wish us luck! Another journey begins...

Buddy's BBQ

Well, it's the 4th, time to cook! Buddy always does a great job on "butt" and "ribs". They were soooo good this year. He made his own BBQ sauce, and it was WONDERFUL! We went up to Matt and Kelley's for the day. We all ate and did a lot of swimming. The girls had such a good time. We all had fun visiting. We ended the night with fireworks with Matt, Kelley, Cassie, and Braxton. It was so much fun. We really did have a great day. You never know what's gonna happen when these guys get together... No, we didn't end up in the ER!!!

4th of July Wreaths...

When M & M were at my parents several weeks ago, they spent a day with Aunt Sara. They had a craft day and they made Mom and me some wreaths for our doors. They turned out so great! We put one on our front door and the other on the door between the garage doors. I LOVE THEM! Thanks girls (and Aunt Sara).

New Mulch...

OK, so better late than never, right? We finally got to put new mulch in all the beds. We opted for it to be delivered by the truck load this time. It was so much cheaper to do it this way. It really went a lot longer way than we anticipated, which is so great! It was hot and hard work, but so worth it. I really enjoyed working out in the yard with Buddy. It was nice to be spending time together even if it was raking mulch. We were able to move the trampoline over in the back yard, and mulch a cute little bed with a table and chairs. It turned out quite nice. Thanks Babe for making it all great!
